Fleur de Bondt is a Johannesburg-based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Drawing from her subconscious and lived experience, her work explores resilience, transformation, and the emotional layers of being human.

‘Solace’ takes place in the height of Riebeek Kasteel’s summer, exploring how heat-both physical and psychological- can dominate our lives. Amid this intensity, the exhibition seeks relief through gestures of cooling, shadowed corners, quiet interiors, and pauses that offer escape from the blaze outside - framing the gallery as a sanctuary from the sun’s unrelenting heat. RK Contemporary presents Solace, opening Sunday 8 Feb, exhibition runs until1 March
