About Fleur de Bondt
Fleur de Bondt, b.1989, is an ever-evolving artist. Her diverse artistic practice spans printmaking, mixed media, and painting, drawing inspiration from her subconscious and living experience to explore the human condition and our ability to survive.
Her work currently focuses on painting rocks which she collects on her adventures, these symbolise the stoic principle that the obstacle is the way, using the rock as a focal point she adds elements of surrealism to create vivid depictions of alternate worlds.
de Bondt has showcased her work at Constitution Hill, and FNB, Investec, Turbine Art Fairs, KKNK, ABSA, Lizamore & Associates, IDC Gallery, and Artist Proof Studio. 2025 de Bondt had a solo exhibition with Lizamore & Associates, she was selected to be part of the Nando’s Creative Exchange Programme 2025, and she had a sell out with Locus Projects at Latitudes 2026. She has sold work on the secondary market through Strauss & co. de Bondt has been the recipient of multiple studio exchanges and bursaries. de Bondt’s practice is supported by the Spier Arts Trust. In addition to her art career, she has been an active member of the cultural sector working with business and arts mentorship for various organisations for over a decade.
