About Fleur de Bondt

Fleur de Bondt (b. 1989, Johannesburg) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans printmaking, mixed media, and painting. Guided by her subconscious and lived experience, Fleur explores the human condition, resilience, and transformation through abstraction and intuitive mark-making.

Her current focus lies in painting, where she delves into the abstraction of nature and internal imagery. Known for experimenting with alternative printmaking methods—especially linocut and collage—her practice is deeply rooted in process and emotional resonance.

Fleur’s work has been exhibited at Constitution Hill, the Joburg, Investec, and Latitudes Fairs, KKNK, a solo exhibition with Lizamore & Associates (2025) , Gallery 2, and Artist Proof Studio. She has also sold work through Strauss & Co on the secondary market. In 2025, she was selected for the Nando’s Creative Exchange Programme.

Beyond her studio, Fleur plays an active role in arts development. She programme-managed RMB Talent Unlocked for six years, mentored for ACT’s Nyoloha Scholarship Programme (2023), and served as Business and Art Mentor in 2024 for Talent Unlocked. She was the founder of Facture Sessions, a weekly initiative supporting connection and growth among isolated artists. Her other past projects include coordinating VANSA’s Cultural Leadership Programme (2022), managing Carling Black Label’s #NOEXCUSE Art Against Abuse campaign (2022), and founding and running Studio Facture (2018) 

Fleur’s artistic practice is at the heart of everything she does—and is dedicated to ongoing exploration. While deeply committed to nurturing creative ecosystems that support artists in meaningful and sustainable ways, she remains devoted to evolving her own work, continually pushing the boundaries of process, form, and personal expression.
